I'm not sure how tatting works, but I'm sure one of my many books will explain this beautiful craft for me...

Oh, that's a very nice one! Try Youtube for tatting tuts - it's sort of crucial to see the hands in action.
I haven't tatted in ages; we should have a tatting coffee thingie.
