I was "spotted" on Saturday by Michelle from Cinder & Skylark which is a fashion blog.
Look how my hair is flicking out the side from driving my car with the window open haha!!
See more here.
Oh! I almost forgot, the dress I'm wearing was made by my friend Thandi Bishop. She's so brilliant.
I've made up some more owlie tags!
They're available at the Spier Fringe Arts shop at City Hall and from today, at Beatnik Bazaar.
Here's a pic of my production table and the end result on my bed :)
Today, I thought I'd share the length of my hair with you.
I was one of those little girls who had short hair.
My mother believed that my thin hair should stay short.
I had long hair twice before.
Once when I was about 14 (awkward teenager face) and again just after high school when I lived in England and dyed my hair a lot.
I've also shaved off my hair twice.
On Friday night, I took myself into town and went to my friend Jade's house. Jade is an amazing chef with no official training but the best imagination and taste buds ever because the food she prepares always tastes awesome. It's that kinda good that makes you shut your eyes involuntarily. I always think looks so stupid when people do that, but her food really does invoke this physical reaction, followed by smiles all round.
So! We had a cooking night. There were 5 dishes and 10 people. We cooked in groups of 2, Miles and I made the best tomato soup we had ever tasted (to our surprise!) and the rest was all divine. We had different bottles of Pinot Noir to compliment the food as well as a little lesson on which wines are good with which food.
I had an awesome evening.
Thank you Jade!
Check out Jade's blog here, as well as the recipes I designed and illustrated for her.
Sometimes I play the guitar and sing.
I wrote something yesterday and decided to record it too.
You can listen to Ghost River Rose here.
I took this picture right now, it's what I can see out of the Olympia window in Kalk Bay.
On Saturday, I made a little trek to a little door on the side of a big street in town to visit the Skinny Sale!! I bought 2 beautiful dish cloths for a friend, one AWESOME new bag and some lovely serviettes that the boyfriend was very unsure of wiping his spaghetti mouth on since they looked so fancy.
I t was nice.
Heather is nice.
My things are nice.
I visited David West's new shop in Salt River on Saturday called, Weekend Special. I tried on this coat and fell in love instantly!! I haven't had a coat in years and every winter I struggle to find one that fits properly. I can just see this coat hanging in my cupboard. I'm gonna save up...
Both the women's and men's clothing are to die for!
Such original and beautiful clothing to make your body feel good.
The range that's in the shop in the moment is called "Catholic Sexy"
I managed to get sick just in time for the Easter weekend, however, I did get up to a few things.
I emptied boxes onto my desk and made sense of what was inside.
I went to Stellenbosch and I picked flowers on a friend's mini farm.
I went to Milnerton Market and bought some cute frames.
There was also plenty eating, laughing, drinking, family visiting and then feeling completely ill on Monday. Hope everyone else had a rad Easter!
