Woodstock Main Road/Sir Lowry Road

There's some really nice stuff going on on the main road in Woodstock, whilst on my way to The Kitchen, I walked past two other nice places.
The Deli is a cute little place with big communal tables and wi-fi perfect for a quick bite.


Die Winkelhuis is this cute little shop a couple of doors down from The Kitchen. They have beautiful handmade clothes, beautiful antiques and loads of character.


Then there's The Kitchen, need I say more?

I went to The Kitchen on Wednesday for lunch with my mom. I had something called a love sandwich and it was indeed lovely and made me feel full of love!!


I love the decor of the place, loads of picutres, tins, plates, it's like being at someone's house.

Sitting Pretty

Have you been to Sitting Pretty?
It's this cute little shop in the Baobab Mall off of Long Street, kinda next to the Mexican Kitchen.
I dropped in there last week to give them more of my button earrings and I bought a really nice top too. They have beautiful dresses, accessories and great man's hats. Check out their facebook page here.

I went to Akimbo yesterday.
It's a rad little second hand clothing shop in Simons Town.
I bought THE most beautiful pink dress even though my boyfriend said "it just looks like a big red sack when you hold it like that."
It's dark pink.
Not red.
It looks better on.

I Love Cross Stitch, I Do

I was telling boyfriend/bestfriend the other day that I think I'd make a perfect 1950s housewife. Have you seen The United States of Tara? I'd be a perfect Alice. With pretty lady dresses, perfect make up, full of "household tricks", haberdashery, baking, tending to one's man and making house pretty. I'm just not very fond of children, but if they were around, I'd be nice to them.

Anyway, here's my new hoop. I mashed two designs together.

My tattoo artist, Dave, he's great. I owe him many presents for being such a great lad. Last night, I made him this little crafty piece of cross stitch...I'm going to drop it off today, I hope he likes it and hangs it in his work station. Antonio's

Went to Antonio's last night with Thaya and it was rad. The food was amazing, the wine was delicious served in beautiful big glasses and I got this massive bowl of Parmesan to accompany my carbonara! Awesome. (Look how cute Thaya is, ag sweet man)
Oh, also, that isn't a pic of Antonio's, it's the house behind it, but I thought it looked like a ship. So I took a pic...

Craft

Thaya and I went to Marietjie's house yesterday fr a bit of craft. Although in usual fashion I idn't do any craft, I worked on a website. However, we had much fun and ate yummy butternut soup. Look how pretty Marietjie's things are. *sigh

I want to put my dining room table inside my house now because it's too cold to eat outside. But my house is very small and something has to go :(
