Xmas Market

We're having a Christmas Market!
*Excitement*
Come over for some champagne, yummy food and gift buying!

Hope to see you there!

Design Indaba Magazine

I'm in the DIY Design Indaba magazine this month.
I illustrated a "how to" for Heath Nash's Kurukuru-Maki chair.
They also wrote a really nice write up for me.

The lovely people at Design Indaba magazine.
I love them, they love me.

My Garden

The pictures of my plants, as promised.
My cute little cups of basil.
MY potting and rehab centre.
I also bottled some of my worm tea, I diluted it 1 part worm tea to 3 parts water.
Think I may sell some of this at the next market.

I'm growing more nasturtiums in a pot away from the ahpid infested wall area.
My one singular pansie.
And my beautiful aloe flower thingy.
I don't know what they're called, but I love them most.

Tick Tock

I bought this cheap watch from the flea market in Muizenberg, also these 2 keys.

I bought these 2 antique rings from the Gift Affair and this necklace from my friend nina.
Buying things makes me feel good and then really empty inside.
Buy things. Feel good, then bad.
Yay.

Gardening

I've become quite fond of gardening lately!
I like how rewarding it is and how your plant can love you back from just a bit of care.

I spent most of the day potting herbs, taking cuttings from other plants and replanting, cutting back and spraying my nasturtiums which unfortunately have aphids.
I've also got quite a few snails in my garden.
They freak me out. I don't like the idea of putting them in with my rubbish.
Too creepy, so, I found this article and I think I'm gonna go with the coffee method.

I didn't take any pics of my plants, will do tomorrow.
I drew a picture instead.

Mood Boards

I put together some nice things that I've seen with my eyeballs.

Yay!
We're having a fun night time!
Blog this poster and come on down!

You can win all kinds of rad stuff and there's going to be a raffle.
I like raffles.
I'm putting in some gift cards and a hoop!
Miss Texas is putting in a CD and one of those t-shirts I illustrated.

The Sky

I took this picture on my way to Kometjie today.
It was nice.
My friend has a tattoo on his arm that says,

"the sky belongs to everyone"

I think that's beautiful.
I wanted to share.

Miss Texas 1977 T-Shirt

I illustrated this for a Miss Texas t-shirt.
Not sure why I didn't blog about it.
Here it is!
You can order your own screenprinted cotton t-shirt off their facebook page or contact me.
Their R150 and available in all sizes.

Spence

There is so much gorgeous fashion here, I could cry.
But I'll save my tears, otherwise the images get all blurry.
Visit Spence here.

Yourstruly Deli

Yourstruly Deli, situated at 175 Long St,
is the cutest little coffee shop.
With gorgeous walls made from old apple crates collected in Grabouw, artwork by local artists, Senyol, Justin Southey and Bruce Mackay, this makes a perfect setting for a coffee date, a quick meeting or your everyday morning fix.
:FACTS:
// Daniel runs the place. (rad guy)
// You can make up your own sandwich. (freedom of choice, nice)
// There's free wi-fi. (office away from office)
// Coffee ranges between R12 and R17. (the cups are big, also nice)
// You can purchase fresh bread and have a juice if you're not in the mood for coffee (more options)

Remember this shoot?
The one where I'm on the chair?
Well, the exhibiton is taking place this evening.
I'll be selling my cards and brooches, come on down for a drink and look at the pretty pictures and people.
Nice.

Bicycle Madness #3

I came across this website, Adeline Adeline, via Design Sponge bicycle mini trend page and nearly cried when i saw these beautiful bicycle basket accessories!!

*sigh isn't it gorgeous...
I could roll up my ilustrations and prints in here!
I'd put my bum there anyday.

The Bluebird Garage

I sold my "things" at The Bluebird Garage market on Friday night.
It was rad.

Finally people of the Southern Peninsula have somewhere to hang out on a Friday night that's not the Brass Bell.

It happens from 3pm till 9pm and it happens every Friday!
